Mrs. Judy Boyleston
Judy Boyleston | Kindergarten
Mrs. Judy is a native of Illinois, althought she has lived in SC for over thirty years. She graduated from Hannibal LaGrange University in Hannibal, MO with a Bachelor of Religious Education degree. She began working on her Master’s in Education at the University of New Orleans, focusing on reading and writing in the elementary grades. She has been teaching for twenty years and loves it! Mrs. Judy has been married for thirty-six years to her husband, Darrell, who is pastor of Bull Swamp Baptist Church in North. They have three daughters and five grandsons. Mrs. Judy has been with us now for 5 years. Her sweet spirit and loving disposition spill over to everyone with whom she comes in contact. We praise the Lord for bringing Mrs. Judy to us.
Mrs. Becky Byrd
Mrs. Becky Byrd | 1st & 2nd Grade
Becky Byrd was born and raised in Georgia but has lived in Orangeburg for the last 33 years. She has been married to her best friend, Michael for 24 years. They have seven sons, one daughter, two daughters in love, and four grandchildren, with another one due soon. Two of their older boys graduated from Wesley Christian School and currently they have five attending. Becky has much experience with children from volunteering as well as working for WCS for several years. She homeschooled their children for almost two years. She and her husband were licensed foster parents for eight years and had more than thirty-two children in their home at different times. They are members of First Southern Methodist Church.
Mrs. Donna Howze
Mrs. Donna Howze, Principal and High School
Mrs. Donna was born in Pennsylvania. She attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC from 1987-1991 with a major in Elementary Education. It was there that she met her husband of over 30 years. She gave her life to Christ in 1993 - she considers this the greatest decision she ever made. Mrs. Donna and her husband, Lee, have 3 children and 1 grandchild. Mrs. Donna came to us in 2015 as a teacher. The following year she accepted the position of Principal. Mrs. Donna has been teaching, whether in Christian Schools or homeschooling, for over 20 years. She and her husband serve the Lord in their local church. Mrs. Donna has a desire to see God use this ministry to reach young people for the Lord; to see lives changed and families reached with the love of Christ; and to be a blessing to every person God brings through our doors. She seeks your best and gives her all for Christ in this ministry.
Mrs. Connie Carson
Mrs. Connie Carson | Office Administrator
Mrs. Connie Carson was born in Moncks Corner, SC. She is married and has two sons here in Orangeburg and one granddaughter with whom she loves spending time. Mrs. Connie began working as the Office Administrator at First Southern Methodist Church in 1998. She transitioned to include the school’s office work in 2011. Mrs. Connie loves our families and works hard to serve them. If you have any questions about the ministry, she is your person to talk with. She has a servant’s heart and we are blessed to have her.
Mrs. Jessica Williams
Mrs. Jessica Williams | 7th & 8th Grade
Jessica Williams was born in Sumter, SC and raised on the mission field in Venezuela, South America. She graduated from Southern Methodist College in 2005 and married her college sweetheart, Quinn, in 2007. Together they have three children- Quinn Jr. (QJ), Jalyn, and Mason. They attend Cornerstone Church in Orangeburg where Jessica actively works with the middle school students on Sunday mornings. In her free time, if she isn't reading a book, you will find her at the baseball field cheering on her two boys and the Orangeburg Riverhawks Organization or doing art with Jalyn at the Orangeburg County Library. Jessica brings a love for learning and a passion for missions to the classroom, where she prays God will use her to spark a desire in each student to serve God to his or her utmost ability.
Mrs. Susan Bowman
Mrs. Susan Bowman | Medical Leave
Mrs. Susan was born in Seoul, Korea. She has traveled all across the US as a military child. She moved to SC in 1996 and a year later she attended Southern Methodist College. She graduated in December, 2001 and began teaching here at Wesley in the fall of 2002. She has been here almost 20 years! She has taught Kindergarten, first, second, and third grades during her time here. She is faithfully serving in her local church. In her words, “I still get excited when a student experiences a light bulb moment.” Mrs. Susan is the faculty member who has been here the longest. She does so much behind the scenes that many do not know. Her love and care for her students overflows from her love for her Savior. She is a blessing to us all and we thank God for her.
